Ather currently offers four e-scooter variants to its customers. Based on my research, the price of a battery starts at ₹50,000 for a 2.9 kWh battery and goes up to ₹78,000 for a 3.7 kWh battery.

- The Eight70 Warranty extends Ather’s standard 3-year battery warranty by an additional 5 years, covering a total of 8 years or 80,000 km (whichever comes first).
- If battery health drops below 70%, Ather will replace it for free.
- Available as an add-on with Pro models.
- Covers battery failures and degradation.
- Includes all battery defects (cells, electrical, electronics, BMS, etc.).
- Idle state assurance: No claim rejection due to deep discharge from prolonged idleness.
- No upper limit on claim amounts.
- Free repair or replacement for battery defects and battery health below 70% during the warranty period.
- Labour charges included.
- Customer negligence, except for deep discharge.
- Unauthorized modifications or tampering with the battery, VIN, or BIN.
- Accidents, theft, fire, flooding, or physical damage.
- Natural wear and tear.
- Transferable if the scooter is sold.
- Claims can be made at only at Ather Service Centers.
- Start date is based on the vehicle invoice date.
- Battery health check is reliable after 10,000 km.
- Warranty certificate is emailed to the owner within 30 days of purchase.
What is the procedure to change the Ather battery?
Visit the near by store of Ather E-scooters and tell them your problem regarding the battery or you can contact them on from their official contact page.
It might take 5-7 days if you belong to tier-II or tier-III city because Ather has not opened it’s service centers in small cities and town.
They might ask you some money in advance for booking the replacement battery. Then once it arrives they will change it in 2-3 hours.
Make sure do not open the battery on your own replace it with a duplicate one. Also buy the battery from the dealership or service center. As while I as researching I saw many third party website has listed the Ather 450 battery for sell. Don’t buy it from there.
